Position Overview:

Dynamic systems engineer with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience to support a SIGINT domain area. Be part of a team that delivers systems engineering of systems of system over the complete end-to-end life cycle. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (science, technical, engineering, math) or related discipline with at least nine (9) years of relevant experience; Masters and seven (7) or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) or more years experience 
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph
  • Proven experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and architecture frameworks such as Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
  • Proficient with Digital Engineering tools and procedures
  • Working knowledge of systems engineering documentation to include concepts of operations, interface control documents, and verification and test
  • Ability to provide technical and programmatic direction on the development, integration, and use of model-based engineering and model-based systems engineering models
  • Proficient understanding of fundamental model development and its application to architecture or system design
  • Experience using Modeling Methodologies and Ontologies
  • Understanding of modeling best practices and quality management processes
  • Proven experience in core systems engineering and analysis disciplines and processes for SIGINT systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and energetic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player requiring collaboration, open communication, and willingness to work in a pair-programming style collaborative work environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 7 years of experience in a similar field. 
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
  • 5+ years of experience supporting software development programs and/or enterprise data services programs driving automation, security, data discovery, access, and cloud integration.
  • Experience in Dev/Ops delivery of software capabilities 
  • Understanding of Cloud practices
  • Broad understanding of space and/or ground systems, hardware, software, operations, data applications/services, and their interdependence.
  • Experience with data compliance and data security
  • Experience with modern data management approaches
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering and Acquisition processes 
  • Strong oral and written communications to support interaction with government, SETA, FFRDC, external stakeholders, and development contractors at all levels, often requiring coordination between all organizations within a high tempo environment. 
  • Knowledge of Agile Project Management methodologies
  • Experience documenting requirements, user stories, and use cases.
  • Experience with government program management, readiness, program control and budgeting
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and operate in a fast paced, demanding environment.
  • Ability to work independently.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in STEM (science, technical, engineering, math) or related discipline with emphasis on MBSE
  • Five (5) or greater years experience in modeling tools (Rhapsody or Cameo) and modeling frameworks (UAF, DoDAF, MODAF) and languages (SysML, UML)
  • Experience with IC customer’s Request for Change process and the Engineering Review Board process
  • Prior US military and/or IC customer experience in the SIGINT domain
