About Our Founder

Robert Spicer started TriSept in 1994 as an extension of his stellar career with NASA, where he led flight operations and training with Space Shuttle astronauts. Spicer supported a broad range of NASA programs between 1975 and 1989 in various roles, first joining the technical staff at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center as a graduate of the University of Richmond.

His vast experience is rooted deeply across the NASA organization, where he served for a decade as aerospace systems engineer and project engineer for Johnson Space Center and the Space Shuttle Program.

While Spicer never realized his childhood dream of becoming an astronaut himself, he became a vital part of the Space Shuttle pre-launch preparations – walking Space Shuttle astronauts through rehearsals of experiments they would perform in space.

Spicer would later serve as Assistant Launch Integration Manager for NASA, providing technical support to a broad range of launch and space vehicle initiatives – including payload integration and safety, and launch and mission preparations.

Spicer’s knowledge and passion for space is reflected across the growing TriSept teams that today provide hands-on mission support, launch and integration, security, and software development expertise and solutions to the United States’ top Intel, government and defense organizations as well as some of the most innovative space companies in the world.

“Both the established and new satellite manufacturers and launch providers in this emerging new space age often tell us that our decades of mission support and integration experience and success gives them true peace of mind,” Spicer recently explained during an industry conference. “The ability to consistently bring peace of mind to our customers and partners in this disruptive space business is truly a differentiator we never take for granted.”
