Position Overview:
The individual selected for this position will support the Customer’s organization that provides video engineering services on a global scale. The enterprise supports a carrier class WAN, complex and diverse campus. This position will provide systems/network engineering support to the Customer’s mission partners.
Primary responsibilities:
- Designs and plans network communications systems
- Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture
- Conducts testing of network design
- Responsible for monitoring network hardware operations to ensure properly set configuration options
- Plans implementation of enhancements and upgrades to the network. Advises network users of hardware requirements, configurations, and limitations. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
- Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network
Required Qualifications:
- Focus in on Network and Security Engineering; Cisco Networks and CISSP certification
- Expert knowledge and experience in Customer VTC solutions
- Experience in Customer security accreditation process
- Knowledge and experience with Video Teleconferencing including Poly and Cisco Video infrastructure
- Experience with ICD-503 Security Accreditations and Authorization process
- Experience with Video networking, and log analysis
- Experience implementing Network designs
- Experience with operating VMware ESXi hypervisor servers
- Understand Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and H.323 communications protocols
- Understand Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocols and certificates
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux or CentOS Linux
- Knowledge of troubleshooting firewalls, specifically regarding SIP and H.323 protocols
- BS 12-15, MS 10-13, PhD 8-10
- Active TS/SCI clearance with an FSP Polygraph required
