Position Overview:
Cloud Architect to support the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure (DI) effort. ABMS is the Air Force’s latest effort to create a next-generation command and control (C2) system and is a top modernization priority for the DAF. ABMS will be the backbone of a network-centric approach to battle management in partnership with all the services across the Department of Defense.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Utilize Cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Develop and mature analysis system and software tools.
- Provide technical expertise in the modeling and analysis of military systems and their broader system-of-systems architectures.
- Develop model-based system engineering (MBSE) to define system functions and develop functional and performance requirements.
- Lead subject matter experts, stakeholders, and customers throughout the process of developing and coordinating system level specifications.
- Apply skills in Cloud and Enterprise Architectures, Agile Methodologies, DevOps and full stack development
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required and the ability to obtain Top Secret SCI Clearance with CI Poly
- Proficiency in Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) applications, shared storage applications, and other shared applications and processes.
- Skilled in Cloud and Enterprise Architectures, Agile Methodologies, DevOps and full stack development technologies (Spring, Node, Python, Docker and K8)
- Experience participating in application development within a development team
- Strong experience in establishing, maintaining, and growing DevSecOps resources
- Experience with Java, HTML, CSS, Python, REST, and other software
- Demonstrated knowledge of deployment technologies (e.g., Gradle, Helm) and patterns
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and other container technologies.
- Proficiency using DOORS or other requirements management tool
- Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience using Cameo Enterprise Architect, Rational Rhapsody, Sparx Enterprise Architect, or other comparable tools
- Experience with MATLAB, STK, AFSIM, Simulink, Model Center, or other comparable modeling and simulation tools.
